I go by the name of Los D. the P.O.E.T which stands for ( Person of Editorial Techniques. )
Los is the last three letters of my first name.
I was originally born in Columbus, Ohio where I first got a taste of music while growing up with my uncles and cousins either playing a musical instrument or singing to a nice smooth keyboard sound.
At first I didn't know I was even going to be interested in the musical arts until I moved to a small town called Morganton, NC.
There I continued to grow up, and started to go through all types of things.
My mom put me into a local choir, but I really wasn't feeling it, because I wanted to play football, and was very good at it too, but it was til' my sophomore year in high school where I thought wow, maybe I SHOULD be doing some type of music, after I had my first hip hop battle, and WON against a guy named Eddie Avery.
Their I began my musical journey meeting several artists, one of which was Richie Suttles a local emcee who then lead a group called: the L.D.P.
Since then I worked under him learning the arts of freestyle, and building of my stage presence.
Soon after that I began learning under Nathan Webb, learning studio techniques like: Production and engineering, and after he moved away I opened up my own studio and started an Independent Record Label.
I then started to work with new artists such as Jimm Beem, K.O, Hydro C, JJ Cupid, Otto Vanderhymes, and Ma Junior.
When Ma junior left to go to the navy, certain emcee's thought it was wise to sneak attack on me, and it started a rap battle that til' this day with me hasn't truly ended, even though it has died down a little, I still have mixed feelings about it, but I work with these artists anyway being that I'm all about the music and not the bullsh*t.
I then began to work under the teachings of Otto Vanderhymes a very skilled emcee from Morganton, Nc, and he taught me the true basics of rhyme, and helped me to develope my sound of today.
In 2005 me and Otto Vanderhymes one first place in a local talent show that was held at Western Piedmont Community College.
Since then I've went on to perform at various venues like Holiday Inn, Legends, Abbie Normalz, Parkside, El Paso, and several Community Outreaches.
I'm now working on my 4th underground cd, and I'm ready to bust the industry wide open...
I live hip hop 100% like KRS One, so I guess you can say I am Hip Hop, lol...
